GREEN Belt One-Steps

 

PROTOCOL:

Defender:        Kiai!

Attacker:         Step backward into Front Stance, Downblock and Kiai!
                        Then step forward into Front Stance and punch head level at Defender.

Defender:        Performs defense techniques, and ends with Kiai!
                        Then step back into defensive stance.

This protocol is repeated for each One Step self defense combination.

 

Defender’s first four basic combinations:

1)         Step forward into a back-stance, while doing an Inside-Block.  The blocking
            hand then does a Backfist strike to Attacker’s head.  Then slide your front
            foot sideways and shift into a front-stance as you do a Reverse Punch to the
            Attacker’s solar plexus.

2)         Step forward into a front-stance, while doing a Hammerfist-Block.  
            Then Reverse Punch to solar plexus, be sure to re-load the blocking hand.
            Then use this hand to Palm Strike Attacker’s head. 

3)         Step backward into a front-stance and do an Up Block. 
            Then do a Front Snap Kick with your back leg and step down forward into
            a front-stance as you do a punch, and reverse punch combination to
            solar plexus.

4)         Step forward and to the side, into a front-stance as you do a Knife Hand Block.
            Then use your back leg to Round House Kick the Attacker’s stomach, put
            your foot down into a front-stance, now facing the Attacker, and use your
            “ready hand” to punch ribs, reload the hand and punch head.
